Given the expanse of the Internet as a topic for research, the need for transdisciplinary
research becomes evident. This paper introduces and expands on the problems
of Internet research and how some of those can be resolved by pursuing transdisciplinary
research. Issues introduced are the fragmentation of understanding, the disunity
of research, and the public reception of that research.
